In the hours of the day the energy that we use is very variable, and the production of energy is very variable to. The eolic energy is very variable and the solar energy is very variable to. We need to storage the hydraulic energy to because the production of energy have no variation but the demand of energy is variable. Compressed air is a wonderful way to storage the energy. We can get 5 to 10 times more energy from the same source of energy.

Hy everybody my name is Armando Regusci.
I am teacher of physics, math and natural science, mechanic and inventor.
I am bachelor engineer.
When I was very young I Start with several inventions, may be because the grand father of my grand father was Alexander Volta the first man that have electricity in his hands.
When I was 20 years old I did a car with flywheel and hydrostatic transmission, the first one had engine, you can drive the car with only one pedal, you can get the energy when you brake and the engine with all the power all the time, like a race car was unbeatable.
Afterward the car run only with the kinetic energy of the flywheel it had 60 miles range.
In 1959 I get the idea to build vehicles with liquid nitrogen, compressed air and with hydrostatic transmission and flywheel.
In 1984 I Start to work in vehicles with compressed air, in 1986 I had the first vehicles running.
It was a motorcycle with two big tanks it had only 6 kilometers range, the engine was an hydrostatic engine that I used for move the vehicle with hydrostatic and flywheel.
With the same air at the same pressure the same motorcycle run 135 kilometers with the free piston and freewheel engine.
Afterward I did a lot of works with compressed air vehicles.
In 2000 I went to Denton Texas USA to work in the vehicles of compressed air and liquid nitrogen, in the UNT University of North Texas.
In that University I explain to the engineer how to build the free piston and freewheel engine. The engineers decide to do my engine for a WV that run with liquid nitrogen.
In that vehicle with a tank with 100 liters can run 30 kilometers range, with my engine the same vehicle with the same nitrogen can run 300 kilometers range.
One of the reasons for that is that my engine is able to work at 10000 PSI pressure instead 150 PSI. When we decompress a gas from 10000 PSI to 150 PSI we lose 90 % of the energy.
If you put a liter of liquid nitrogen in a tank and the tank is full and you let the nitrogen become to the atmosphere temperature the pressure of the nitrogen is 100000 PSI or 700 K/cm.

What is a liquid nitrogen vehicle and why?
The air is 79 % nitrogen 20 % oxygen and 1 % others gases.
When we get the oxygen to the air for medical and industrial we need to separate the oxygen from the nitrogen ,for do that we get the air cold -170 cent and the air cam liquid, them we let the air cam hot and the oxygen cam gas before nitrogen.
We get liquid nitrogen that is an industrial waste.
One liter of liquid nitrogen becomes 696 liters of nitrogen at atmosphere pressure and temperature.
The Boyle Law of the gases said that in a gas pressure time volume is constant if the mass and the temperature of the gas is the same.
For this law if we put in a tank of a liter liquid nitrogen and we wait that the nitrogen becomes at the atmosphere temperature the pressure in the tank is 696 Kg/cm or 696 X 14.2 = 9883 PSI and the energy is 810366 kilogrameters we need to use the gas at this pressure that only with my engine is possible if we want to get all the energy, in the first car of the UNT they expand at 140 PSI and only get the 8% of the energy.
The price of the liquid nitrogen is more expensive than the compressed air but if we use a lot of vehicles with liquid nitrogen it becomes more expensive because is no more a waste.
The liquid nitrogen vehicle have less power than the compressed air because you need to wait that the nitrogen became hot.
In a liquid nitrogen vehicle you need to put head exchanger.
In a liquid nitrogen vehicle you are losing energy because you need to live the nitrogen to the atmosphere when become hot if you don't want that the tank broken.
With my special engine like have more efficiency has more power.
The reason why use liquid nitrogen is for safe.
The liquid nitrogen is practically the same that the compressed air car the only different is the way to storage the energy in the first is liquid nitrogen in the second compressed air but at the end both work with a compressed gas engine.
If we use liquid nitrogen we can only buy the liquid nitrogen and don't need use compressors.
We can get the liquid nitrogen and let it can atmosphere temperature and get compressed nitrogen and use it in a compressed air car.
We can use in a car liquid nitrogen and compressed air or nitrogen at the same time.
Are the compressed air vehicle safe?
Yes. In this moment are running in the world 1 million of vehicle with Compressed Natural Gas and never have problems because the tank are of fiber glass and in case of accident only liken. We are going to use the air at the same pressure 3000 PSI and the air don' get fire like the Natural Gas. If you have an accident in an oil car and in the accident the door becomes broken and you can go outside and if the car gets fire you are in a very bad situation.
If the tanks work at 3000 PSI maximum pressure they will be test at 6000 PSI frequently.
When start the compressed air vehicles?
In 1959 I get the idea of the compressed air vehicles and I start to work alone in 1984 but in 1997 I get the information that between 1900 and 1910 run in Paris New York and London run vehicles with compressed air.
This vehicles was like a locomotive that run at low pressure 500 PSI with bad efficiency with a big tank it run 20 miles range.
Do you know the compressed air car of Guy Negre?
In 1997 after I be back of USA I was in Uruguay and I read in a magazine about the car of Guy Negre, was a car that run with compressed air and gasoline,afterward use only compressed air but in the draws of the engine they keep the the combustion chamber I don't know why.
The engine of Guy Negre have two piston with the first piston he compress the air of the atmosphere and use energy for do that the air can hot but you need to put energy for put the air hot when you compress the air.
The idea is that the air that expand don't become cold but the best way is to get that with a heat exchanger after the air is hot you can't do that, and you can't get the energy from the atmosphere.
After the air is compress go to the combustion chamber a little chamber and there put the air from the tanks, afterward the air go to a bigger piston where it work.
The problem is that only use the difference of volume of the two pistons.
When the air go to the chamber the air is decompress and you lose energy, that is one of the reason why this engine have less than half of the energy of my engine.
In technical description I explain all the problems that have the engine with crankshaft for example that the piston is moving when the air go inside the cylinder in the Guy Negre engine move slowly when the air go inside the cylinder but is moving.
In 7/25/04 looking the web page of Guy Negre I saw a engine that is motor and compressor for a car, I have the same patent in Uruguay and Argentina Urugayan patent number 22976 date 9/11/1989 and Argentina patent number 317786 date 9/6/1990 the name of the paten is Motor Compresor de gas de eficiencia total.

Is very cheap, I did the car that run 100 kilometers in Maldonado in 1993 with only one charge of air in its tanks with a pipe of PVC with fiber glass out side,4 bike freewheels and 4 bike chain. You can do this engine with only a lade and a welding machine.

Description of the Regusci engine and why this engine
The Regusci engine consist in a free piston and a free wheel, the connections between the free piston and the free wheel can be done by different way.
The engine can have one or several piston and this pistons can be equal or different for the same engine.
The piston can be connected to one or several free wheel and the free wheel can be equal or different.
The piston can be simple or double effect and with different diameter and stroke.
An example of this engines is a cylinder very long in relation with his diameter, a piston connected to a shaft, when we put air with pressure inside the cylinder the air push the piston the piston pull the shaft, the shaft pull a chain the chain turn the free wheel and the free wheel turn the shaft of the engine. The engine have two valve one for let the air go inside the cylinder from the tank or other cylinder and the other for let the air go from the cylinder to the atmosphere or other cylinder.
The engine have a spring for return the cylinder to the initial position.
The advantages of this engine are
1 The cylinder can be much more longer in relation with his diameter, this advantage let open the valve for put the air in and the valve for put the air out only one time instead of several times.
This advantage is very important when we the engine works at very high pressures for example 700 Kg /cm or 9940 PSI if we use a piston with one cm square of surface the force is 700 kilos and we can use this force in the engine without problem in the engine the cylinder can by 40 cm stroke, in a piston connected to a crankshaft the valve open and shut 20 times instead of one and we lose energy, if we use a piston with 10 cm of diameter it open 4 times but the surface is the force is 54950 kilos and the engine will be broken.
This let us open the where the air came to the cylinder for 20 cm and afterward shut it and decompress the air at half of his pressure.
2 This engine can run at very high pressure for example 700 kilos or 9940 PSI if we decompress at 35.21 Kilos we only get 48 % of the energy.
3 If we don't need it we don't use it
For example in an engine with 10 pistons we only use one if we don't need to much power but if we need all the power we can use all the pistons.
If we don't need power we don't use the engine and it run in free wheel.
When we use all the power we need to let go to the atmosphere a lot of air, in an engine with crankshaft if we keep moving this lot of air even if we don't need power in a Regusci engine if we don't need it we don't use it.
4 The piston is stop and with out volume when we put air inside the cylinder
This give more efficiency, in an engine with crankshaft this is impossible.
